All hail the mighty avocado, which heightens the deliciousness of everything it graces.
Top your sandwich with slices or use it to make a salad, such as tuna (it’s replaced mayo for me).
Here’s a recipe for avocado mayo, which I found via my naturopath’s newsletter. It’s foolproof and you’ve probably got everything you already need in your kitchen.
• 1 ripe avocado
• 1/4 lemon (freshly squeezed)
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 tsp sea salt
• 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
There’s only one step: Mash and mix. Enjoy! And remember, it’s the good fat you’re consuming here.
